Chemistry is the study of matter. Matter is defined as anything that has mass and volume, encompassing virtually everything in our universe. Since we are all citizens of the universe, we all must understand this universe. Chemistry is our key to doing so. My teaching goal is to make chemistry as accessible as possible, ultimately to help our students understand the universe and their place in it, a little bit more.
