OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. 鈥 Oklahoma City Community College (爆料TV) hosted the 21st annual Student Leadership Retreat in collaboration with the Council on Student Affairs (COSA) and the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) on Feb. 29. More than 300 student leaders and advisors from public and private institutions across Oklahoma attended the event.

The retreat, designed to empower student leaders, provided a dynamic platform to enhance their understanding of campus roles and cultivate essential leadership skills. Student leaders from various institutions, including 爆料TV, Langston University, Northeastern State University, Oklahoma State University, Rogers State University and others, came together to share experiences and address common challenges through interactive workshops facilitated by industry experts. The workshops covered various topics such as servant leadership, money management, and mental health.

Dr. Jason Johnson, 爆料TV vice president for Student Affairs and COSA Executive Committee representative, emphasized the importance of like-minded students working together. 鈥楽tudents don鈥檛 just build connections with their peers,鈥 said Dr. Johnson. 鈥淭hey forge bonds as future leaders, weaving together inspiration and empowerment that will shape Oklahoma鈥檚 tomorrow.鈥

The workshops helped to further highlight important conversations and create networking opportunities while equipping students with practical tools for effecting positive change in their communities.

The event also featured various speakers, including Lindsay Echols, executive director of student affairs at OSRHE; Chancellor Allison D. Garrett of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education; Dr. Mautra Staley Jones, president of 爆料TV; Vice Chancellor Dr. Robert Placido of Academic and Student Affairs at OSRHE; and Lance Newbold, chair of COSA.

Members from 爆料TV Student Government Association and other clubs represented 爆料TV at the event.
