[OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLAHOMA, FEBRUARY 2] 鈥 The Oklahoma City Community College (爆料TV) Board of Regents announced, in a special meeting on January 31, 2022, the appointment of 爆料TV鈥檚 next President, Dr. Mautra Jones. Dr. Jones will begin her tenure as 爆料TV鈥檚 11th President on March 1, 2022.
鈥淭he Board of Regents is excited about Dr. Jones as the new President,鈥 said Board of Regents Chair Kevin Perry. 鈥淪he is committed to our students鈥 success, and giving our faculty and staff the support they need to be successful. We expect great things from Dr. Jones.鈥
Dr. Jones currently serves as Vice President of Institutional Advancement and External Affairs at Langston University. She is the site administrator for the University鈥檚 Oklahoma City campus, as well as the Executive Director of the Langston University Foundation. Dr. Jones is also a member of the Board of Directors for BancFirst.
An active and engaged member of the community, Dr. Jones provides leadership to various civic and charitable organizations, among them the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, StitchCrew, Oklahoma Philharmonic Society, Civic Center Foundation, Oklahoma Watch, Oklahoma Office of Juvenile Affairs, and Leadership OKC鈥檚 Alumni Association. She is a board advisor to the Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce, a Salt and Light Leadership (SALLT) Fellow, a graduate of Leadership Oklahoma City (Class XXIX), and a member of the MSI Aspiring Leaders Program at Rutgers University.
Dr. Jones has been recognized as a 2022 Book-of-Lists Power Player by The Journal Record, and it named her its 2020 Woman of the Year, while also inducting her into its distinguished 2020 Circle of Excellence. She also holds the distinction of being named by American Mothers, Inc. as both the 2021 National Mother of the Year and the 2021 Oklahoma Mother of the Year.

Dr. Jones received her BA in Journalism from the University of Oklahoma, her MBA from the University of Phoenix at San Diego, and her Doctor of Education from Vanderbilt University鈥檚 Peabody College of Education. She is married to United States District Judge Bernard M. Jones II, and is the mother of three children: Bernard III, Kennedy, and Brendan.
