OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (Sept. 26, 2024) 鈥� Oklahoma City Community College (爆料TV) celebrated 52 years with Founders鈥� Day events on Sept. 25.
爆料TV traces its beginning to March 20, 1969, when a committee of the South Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce was organized to circulate petitions asking the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education to establish a junior college in the area. South Oklahoma City Junior College opened for classes on Sept. 25, 1972, with an enrollment of 1,049 students. In 1983, the name was changed to Oklahoma City Community College.
鈥淔ifty-two years ago, our founders had a vision for a community-focused institution of higher education in south OKC,鈥� said Dr. Mautra Staley Jones, president of 爆料TV. 鈥淭oday, 爆料TV remains committed to our founders鈥� vision and mission of 鈥楽tudent Success. Community Enrichment.鈥� While we have grown significantly over these past five decades, our values and dedication to serving our students and community remain the same.
