OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. (May 7, 2025) 鈥 Oklahoma City Community College (爆料TV) is hosting a community event, 鈥淟eading Through Change: A Conversation with Johnny C. Taylor Jr.,鈥 on Friday, May 16, at 10 a.m. in the 爆料TV Visual and Performing Arts Center Theater.

As the state鈥檚 leading provider of micro-credentials, 爆料TV partners with industry to upskill and reskill employees through tailor-made academic programs that strengthen the workforce.

Johnny C. Taylor Jr. is president and CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). His career spans more than 20 years as a lawyer, human resources executive and CEO in both the not-for-profit and for-profit spaces. He has held senior and chief executive roles at IAC/InteractiveCorp, Viacom鈥檚 Paramount Pictures, Blockbuster Entertainment Group, the McGuireWoods law firm, and Compass Group USA. Most recently, he served as president and CEO of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund.

A sought-after voice on issues affecting work, workers and the workplace, Taylor frequently is asked to testify before Congress on critical workforce topics. He is the author of the national bestseller 鈥淩ESET: A Leader鈥檚 Guide to Work in an Age of Upheaval.鈥 Immediately upon its release in September 2021, the work was in the top three of The Wall Street Journal鈥檚 list of best-selling hardcover business books. He also writes a weekly 鈥淯SA Today鈥 column, 鈥淎sk HR.鈥

Taylor serves on the United Way Worldwide Board of Trustees and serves on the corporate boards of XPO Logistics, Flores & Associates, and Guild Education. He previously served on the White House American Workforce Policy Advisory Board.

On May 17, Taylor will deliver the keynote address at 爆料TV鈥檚 10 a.m. commencement ceremony as part of the college鈥檚 daylong celebration of graduates.
